  • Is this Satellite Based?

    No, ALTBroadband Wireless Internet service is not satellite-based internet. We use a combination of unlicensed line-of-sight and LTE-Advanced licensed spectrum. Typical latency (ping) is 50ms. Satellite typically has a latency (ping) of between 1500 and 3000ms, which is what makes it seem so slow, and cumbersome. ALTBroadband acts and has speeds as if it was a fixed line broadband service.

  • How fast is your service?

  • Are there any data limits?

    No, ALTBroadband Wireless Internet does not have any data limits. We do not limit the amount of GB you may use, we do not compress, or reduce the quality of videos. We provide true, open internet.

  • Will Hulu/Roku/Netflix work?

    Absolutely, ALTBroadband does support all streaming media platforms. Our plan will support multiple media streams at once without an issue.

  • Do you support online gaming?

    ALTBroadband does support online gaming. Our network provides an open NAT type to ensure the best possible gaming experience. We are compatible with all gaming platforms including Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, and Steam just to name a few.

  • Can I get a static IP?

    ALTBroadband provides a public, unrestricted IP address by default. All IP’s provided are semi-static, and will remain the same as long as the router MAC ID does not change. If you have any questions, please ask our sales staff.

  • Is there a credit check?

    No, ALTBroadband does not require a credit check. All of our services are pre-paid, and month-to-month.

  • Is there a contract?

    No, our plan does not require a contract. Your service is month-to-month. You may cancel at any time.

  • Is there a setup fee?

    ALTBroadband does charge a one-time $100 equipment fee for new clients.

  • How does billing work?

    ALTBroadband services are billed month-to-month. Our plan is pre-paid.

    Invoices are generated 7 days before they are due, and then emailed as a PDF to the email address on file.

    A reminder email is sent 24 hours before the due date, to remind clients that we will by default automatically charge the card on file.

    On the due date, our system will charge the card on file, and email you a receipt.

    Customers can request to turn off automated payment processing, just contact support and we will disable automated billing for your account. Just be sure to make payment on time, or contact us if you need a few extra days so that your services are not suspended.
